Scissors Attack Sparks Panic
A 44-year-old woman sparked chaos on Boaler Street after lunging at another woman with scissors around 1.50pm on Saturday, 4 October.
The victim survived the terrifying attack unharmed. She ran off after hurling her bag at the assailant. The attacker then grabbed something from the bag before police arrived.
Earlier Scare Adds to Tension
The drama wasn’t over. Earlier that same afternoon, a group of women nearby reported being threatened with scissors, ratcheting up fear in the community.
Police Step In: Arrest and Hospital Treatment
Merseyside Police confirmed the 44-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery linked to the knife-wielding incidents.
We can confirm that a woman has been detained under the Mental Health Act following an incident in liverpool/" title="Liverpool" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Liverpool,” police said.
She was later bailed and is now receiving treatment in hospital under the Mental Health Act.
