Shannon Cook, jailed for a savage stabbing outside a busy Whitstable pub, is now on Kent Police’s most-wanted list. Authorities are hunting her down to recall her to prison after she broke the terms of her release.
Whitstable Stabbing Horror
Cook was locked up for two and a half years in May 2023 for her role in a brutal attack outside the Duke of Cumberland pub on Whitstable High Street. Victim Jack Bardrick was stabbed multiple times right in front of his terrified girlfriend.
The brutal brawl unfolded just after midnight on May 14, 2022. Cook confronted Jack and his mates on Horsebridge Road, sparking a verbal fight with provocative remarks. Then she called her boyfriend, Lewis Jones, falsely claiming she’d been attacked.
Jones, with his cousin Bradley Jones and accomplice Alfie Scott, arrived in a Land Rover, turning the argument into a violent assault.
Frenzied Attack Caught on CCTV
CCTV footage shown at trial revealed Jones launching a savage punch-and-kick attack on Jack. Scott joined in, stabbing Jack repeatedly. Jack suffered deep cuts to his face and stab wounds in his back.
Meanwhile, Cook was seen holding back Jack’s girlfriend, Georgina McKinnon, who begged the attackers to stop.
“The attack left me unable to eat solid food for a week,” Jack told the court. Georgina said she felt “completely broken” by the ordeal.
Harsh Sentences for Whitstable Attackers
- Shannon Cook, once of Brook Road, got 2½ years for unlawful wounding but was cleared of wounding with intent.
- Alfie Scott, from Stodmarsh Road, Fordwich, branded dangerous and jailed for 13 years.
- Lewis Jones, also formerly from Brook Road, Swalecliffe, sentenced to 8 years 6 months.
