High Wycombe Woman Slapped with Community Order for Assault on Five Children
Amelia Simkiss, 24, from Totteridge Road, High Wycombe, has been handed a one-year community order after wilfully assaulting five children in Marlow. The sentencing was delivered today at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court following a thorough Thames Valley Police investigation.
Guilty Plea For Shocking Child Assaults
Simkiss admitted to one count of wilful assault during her court appearance on 18 April. The offences took place between 6 October and 8 November last year, targeting five children under her care. This grim case sent shockwaves through the local community.
Police Praise Guilty Plea, Vow to Protect Kids
Detective Constable Kirsty Pendle from the Child Abuse Investigation Unit welcomed Simkiss’s guilty plea, saying it spared the victims’ families the trauma of a full court battle.
“It’s a relief that justice was served swiftly and that the victims’ families were spared the ordeal of reliving these incidents,” said DC Pendle.
Thames Valley Police underline their ongoing commitment to stamp out violence against children and bring offenders to book.
