Woman Jailed Over Class A Drugs Bust in Reading
A 22-year-old woman has been locked up after cops caught her with a stash of hard drugs in Reading.
Holly Jones Sentenced to Two and a Half Years
Holly Jones, from Goldsmith Close, Thatcham, was sentenced to two years and six months in prison at Reading Crown Court on Friday, May 3. She was also ordered to forfeit drugs, her mobile phone, and cash linked to the offences.
Caught With Heroin and Crack Cocaine
Jones admitted to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs – heroin and crack cocaine – during a court hearing on March 19. The case dates back to August 23, 2021, when officers stopped Jones driving an Audi A3 on Jesse Terrace, Reading.
Police grew suspicious after seeing Jones place something down her trousers. A search uncovered around 70 wraps of Class A drugs worth roughly £1,400. Jones was arrested on the spot and charged earlier this year on January 9.
Police Crack Down on Drug Supply in Reading
“Police will use visible and covert tactics to disrupt drug supply and pursue offenders involved in this crime,” said PC James Dunwell from Reading police station.
