Detectives from the South Worcestershire Proactive Team have smashed a major County Lines drug gang operating in Worcester. Four key players have been convicted and handed hefty prison sentences for their crimes.
Heavy Sentences for Class A Drug Supply
- One ringleader was sentenced to 4 years and 5 months for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs on Friday, 10 March.
- Other gang members, including Suri, Brooks, and Edwards, were also arrested for drugs and weapons offences following further police investigations.
£10,000 Cash and Tons of Drugs Seized
The operation uncovered a stash of crack cocaine, heroin, cannabis, and £10,000 in cash, effectively cutting off this County Lines network’s supply chain to the streets.
Police Declare War on Drug Gangs
Detective Sergeant Luke Papps, from the Worcester County Lines Team, said: “Our operation led to the closure of this line and involved forces from across the region and nation to stop them polluting our communities.”
“We will continue to prioritise the pursuit and prosecution of those who bring drugs and violence into our villages, towns and cities and who exploit vulnerable members of these communities, like children and young people.”
