A child narrowly escaped serious injury after being hit by a car while crossing the road during today’s hectic school run in Cowes.

Crash Sparks Emergency Response

Police and paramedics rushed to Ash Grove at around 3pm after reports of an accident involving a passing car and a young pupil near Lanesend Primary School.

The child sustained foot injuries and was swiftly taken by ambulance to St Mary’s Hospital for checks. Thankfully, doctors have confirmed the injuries are not life-threatening.
