£20,000 Reward Offered – Police Plead for Info
Lana was reported missing five days after she disappeared. Camden police launched a thorough investigation, chasing numerous sightings, interviewing dozens, and examining CCTV footage. The case was later handed to the Homicide and Major Crime Command amid fears Lana had come to harm.
Detective Inspector Mike Stubbins said: “Nearly 13 years have passed, but our determination to find out what happened to Lana remains undiminished.”
“Her family have endured years of torment. Her daughter Megan, only six when Lana vanished, is now 15 and has grown up without her mother.”
“We owe it to Lana’s family to find out the truth, catch those responsible, and deliver justice.”
“I’m confident people know more than they’ve said. Over time, those afraid to speak often do so. I believe this case can be solved.”
“A £20,000 reward is now on the table for information leading to an arrest or Lana’s whereabouts. This could be life-changing, but Lana’s family would give everything just for answers and peace.”
“We’re revisiting old leads and breaking new ground, speaking to those who knew Lana where she lived and worked.”
“Anyone with information should speak to officers during our leaflet drop or call 020 8345 1570 quoting Operation Kagal. Calls will be treated in the strictest confidence.”
Lana’s father John added: “I’m pleading with anyone who knows anything about Lana or her disappearance to come forward.
“Our family is desperate for answers. This has torn us apart.”
