Police Continue Search with Essex Support

Officers are still searching the property, backed by Essex Police. The suspect remains in custody at an Essex police station.

Extreme Right-Wing Terrorism Suspicion—No Imminent Public Threat

The arrest is linked to suspected extreme right-wing terrorism. Authorities say there is no immediate threat to the public. It is not connected to the murder of Sir David Amess MP.

Counter Terror Chief Issues Public Warning

“I’d firstly like to reassure the local community in Essex and beyond that we are not aware of any imminent threat to the public in relation to this arrest today,” said Commander Richard Smith, head of the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.

“However, with the terrorism threat level recently raised to ‘severe’, I urge the public to stay vigilant. If you see or hear anything suspicious, please report it immediately.”

“Officers across Counter Terrorism Policing are working round the clock to keep the public safe. Your reports really help.”
