Police Release CCTV Image in Reading Upskirting Probe

Officers hunting a man linked to an upskirting incident in Reading have released his CCTV image, hoping the public can help identify him.

Incident at Tesco on Portman Road

On 12 August, between 7.20pm and 7.40pm, a man was spotted near two teenage girls inside the Tesco store on Portman Road. He was seen clutching a laptop bag close to the girls, who quickly moved away.

Staff approached the man, who then left the store.

Police Appeal for Information

“We are continuing to investigate a report of upskirting and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward,” said PC Jake Newton of Reading police station.

“While incidents like this are rare, we take them very seriously and understand community concerns. We want to speak to the man shown in the CCTV image, as he may have key information.”
