Wembley Shooting Tragedy: Victim Named as Craig Small

Detectives have revealed the name of the man shot dead in Wembley last Friday night. Craig Small, 32, a local Wembley resident, tragically lost his life after being shot outside a shop on Harrow Road, Monks Park at 8.10pm on 5 July.

Family in Shock as Police Hunt Killer

Craig’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. Despite the rapid response from local and armed police and paramedics, Craig died shortly after being rushed to a north London hospital with gunshot wounds.

A post-mortem is scheduled, while detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC), working closely with Brent police, continue their investigation. No arrests have been made yet.

Heartbreaking Tribute from Craig’s Mum

“Craig meant everything to us. He was a loving son, a father, an uncle, and a peacemaker. He was the soul of the family and lit up the room. Now the light has gone,” said his mother Carol.

“Our family is broken. We urge anyone with information to come forward. Silence only empowers this violence.

“It’s time for this to stop. We need to stand together. Craig had a past but had changed his life for the better. He was moving in the right direction. His life has been taken senselessly—he did nothing to deserve this.”

The family has asked for privacy during this heartbreaking time.

Detectives Appeal for Public Help

Detective Chief Inspector Helen Rance, leading the investigation, said: “A young man has been shot and killed. We need the public’s help to find those responsible and support Craig’s family.

“If you saw or know anything, please come forward. Specialist officers are ready to listen and support you.

“You can call Crimestoppers anonymously, but we urge anyone with information to speak up. We must all rise to the challenge and bring Craig’s killers to justice.”

Anyone with information should call the incident room on 020 8345 3775 or dial 101 quoting CAD 9128/5July. You can also tweet via @MetCC.
