Terrified Teen Robbed After ATM Withdrawal in Sittingbourne

A teenager was targeted in a brazen robbery on the High Street in Sittingbourne at around 7pm on 11 February 2022.

Man Demands Change Before Theft

After withdrawing cash from an ATM, the boy was approached by a man as he walked onto Trinity Road. The suspect asked for some change. When the victim refused, the man allegedly threatened him and snatched a large sum of money.

Suspect Description Released

The attacker is described as a white male, aged 25-30. He was wearing a black coat with a brown fur hood, black jogging bottoms, and black trainers.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Constable Charlotte Grant of Sittingbourne CID said: “We have been investigating this incident including the examination of CCTV footage. The victim has helped create a computer-generated image of the suspect. We want to hear from anyone who recognises this man, or anyone who was in the area and hasn’t yet spoken to police.”
