Man Arrested in Hunt for Missing Agnes Akom

Detectives probing the disappearance of 20-year-old Agnes Akom from Cricklewood have swooped on a man in a murder and false imprisonment probe. On Monday night, a 63-year-old was arrested in North Acton and is now in custody at a North London police station. He is believed to know Agnes.

Who is Agnes Akom?

Also known as ‘Dora’, Agnes is a Hungarian national who’s lived in the UK for five years. She vanished from her home on Cricklewood Broadway on the morning of Sunday, 9 May. Her loved ones reported her missing two days later, on Tuesday 11 May.

Police Appeal to Public – Agnes Still Missing

Officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are urging anyone with information to come forward. Agnes is described as 5ft 5in, of average build, with blonde hair. When she disappeared, she was last seen wearing a white faux-fur coat, blue ripped jeans, and light pink trainers.

“Our officers are working tirelessly to locate Agnes, who has now not been seen or heard from in 10 days. There are serious concerns for Agnes’ safety and it is our priority to find her as soon as possible,” said Detective Chief Inspector Neil John.

“We are conducting extensive searches in Park Royal and Holland Park following the recent arrest and are exploring every lead. We appeal to the public to help us bring Agnes home.”
