Man Seriously Stabbed in Shocking New Haw Road Rage Attack

Police rushed to Pinewood Grove, New Haw, just after 9pm on 26th November 2021, following reports of a brutal knife assault. The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but, thankfully, they are not life-threatening.

Suspect in Custody Over Attempted Murder

A 27-year-old man from the area has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

Road Rage Incident Sparks Violent Assault

Detective Sergeant Jennie Henderson revealed the attack stemmed from a road rage incident that unfolded between 8:30pm and 8:45pm along Garfield Road, New Haw Road, Woodham Lane, and Heathervale Road.

“The suspect was seen driving a black and red moped,” she said. “Local residents may have noticed a heavy police presence over the weekend. We want to reassure the public that we are doing everything we can to get to the bottom of this.”

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“We are urging anyone who saw the assault or the events leading up to it to come forward with information,” said DS Henderson. “Your help is vital to our investigation.”
