Tragic Death on A350 Near Chippenham After Horror Collision

Man in His 30s Killed in Early Morning Crash

Police rushed to the A350 near Chippenham at around 5am this morning (03/03) following a single-vehicle crash involving a Toyota Yaris between Sandown Drive and Bumpers Farm.

Tragically, a local man in his 30s, who had exited the vehicle, was hit by a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and died at the scene.

Investigation Underway, Loved Ones Informed

Specialist officers have informed the man’s next of kin. “Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time,” police said.

The lorry driver involved was taken to a safe location and is being supported by officers.

Road Closures and Witness Appeal

The A350 between Bumpers Farm and Cepen Park South roundabouts was closed in both directions for most of the day. Police left the scene earlier this afternoon, with Highways expected to reopen the road around 4.30pm.
