Police Escort Bike Crashes in SW5 – Elderly Woman Critically Injured
Serious Collision in Cromwell Road
At around 3.21pm on Wednesday, 10 May, a police motorcycle on escort duty crashed with a member of the public at the busy junction of Cromwell Road and Warwick Road, SW5.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance quickly arrived to treat a woman in her 80s. She was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition. Her family have been informed of her status.
No Other Injuries Reported
So far, no other injuries have been reported in connection with the crash.
Investigation Underway, Road Closures in Place
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Road closures remain at the scene as officers and emergency teams carry out their work.
Officials have also notified the Directorate of Professional Standards, following standard procedure in such incidents.
