Dad-of-Three Killed After Renault Lorry Crashes into Vauxhall in Strood
Tragic Crash Brings Community to a Halt
Andy Millward, a father of three in his 40s, died in a horrific collision yesterday afternoon. The black Vauxhall he was driving was smashed by a Renault lorry around 1:30pm on Station Road, Strood.
The lorry overturned while trying to turn from Frindsbury Road, spilling rubble across the road. Passers-by rushed to help, attempting to clear the debris and aid the scene.
Emergency Services Respond
A massive emergency response arrived on scene, including police, paramedics, and firefighters. Station Road was shut both ways for several hours as teams worked tirelessly.
Family and Friends Pay Heartfelt Tributes
Andy’s family and pals have been left devastated. His mother, Freda Law, said, “My son was adored. He leaves behind three daughters and a large family.”
His sister, Selina Tattum, added, “This is my brother, who has been separated from my family and me. Andrew, rest in peace, we love you. Until our next meeting.”
Friends have also expressed shock and heartbreak over the loss.
Police Make Arrest, Seek Witnesses
A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by reckless driving. Kent Police’s serious collision investigation unit is continuing their probe.
