Police caught a driver going wild on the roads, refusing to stop before trying to bolt from officers.
Erratic Driving Sparks Police Chase
Just before 9.40pm on Monday, 24 January 2022, patrol officers spotted a motorist driving dangerously. They signalled him to pull over, but he ignored them and kept driving.
Driver Attempts to Flee on Foot
Eventually, the man stopped but immediately tried to run from the scene. Officers quickly caught him.
Drug Use and Dangerous Driving Charges
A roadside drugs test showed he was under the influence of cannabis and another substance. The man, in his twenties from Sittingbourne, was arrested on suspicion of:
- Driving while unfit through drugs
- Dangerous driving
- Failing to stop for police
He has since been released under investigation as toxicology results are awaited.
