Man in His 40s Dies After Stabbing in Blyth

Police rushed to Dukes Gardens, Blyth, at 3.45am today after a welfare concern call. They found a man in his 40s with a stab wound.

Paramedics battled to save him at the scene, but he sadly died shortly after.

Murder Investigation Underway

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. Northumbria Police launched an immediate probe.

“We’re determined to find out exactly what happened,” said police spokespeople. “We believe all parties knew each other, and there is no wider threat to the public.”

Officers are continuing enquiries in the area and are working to reassure local residents.

Next of kin have been informed and are supported by family liaison officers.
