Teen Murdered in Shocking Leeds Taxi Attack
Police rushed to the scene at 5.29pm on 31 March after the ambulance service reported two males seriously injured in Leeds.
An 18-year-old was rushed to hospital but tragically died shortly after arrival. A 16-year-old boy was also hospitalised with serious injuries, though these are not believed to be life-threatening.
Three Suspects on the Run
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team have launched a murder investigation. Police have sealed off Hall Road and Brentwood Terrace as forensic teams comb the area for clues.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Lee Townley said:
“Our thoughts remain with the victim who lost his life in this violent attack. We are piecing together the full circumstances of what happened.”
“We know the two males were in a taxi when they were attacked by three suspects travelling in another vehicle.”
“I urge anyone who was nearby and captured dash cam, CCTV, or mobile footage to come forward immediately.”
“We understand this will alarm the local community. Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing team will increase patrols to provide reassurance.”
