Teen Woman Stabbed to Death in Croydon Home
Police were called at 4.10pm on Sunday, 29 October, after a woman was found dead at a residence in Ash Tree Way, Croydon.
Tragic Scene: 19-Year-Old Found with Fatal Stab Wounds
Officers and paramedics arrived to find a 19-year-old woman suffering stab injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem is planned to determine the exact cause of death.
A neighbour who wished to remain anonymous reported seeing a man being dragged from the property covered in blood.
Man, 23, Arrested at Scene; Victim Believed to Be Recent Indian Immigrant
The victim is thought to be an Indian national who recently arrived in the UK. Police are trying to locate and inform her family.
A 23-year-old man, known to the victim, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He was taken to hospital with a minor head injury.
Currently, no one else is being sought in connection with the murder.
