Boy Attacked by Rogue Staffie During Family Dog Walk

Police were called out on Friday, 27 November, after a terrifying attack at Langdon Hills recreation ground. Just before 7.30pm, a boy walking his dog with his family was suddenly attacked by another dog.

The trouble began when a black Staffordshire Bull Terrier type dog, described as having long legs and no collar, approached aggressively. The dog wasn’t with an owner and lunged at the family’s pet. When the boy tried to break up the fight, he was attacked.

Police Hunt Ownerless Staffie After Attack

Officers are urgently appealing for witnesses. If you were near Langdon Hills around the time of the attack and saw a dog matching this description or know where it might have come from, you are urged to come forward.

“We understand this incident will cause concern in the community,” police said. “Officers are searching the area and speaking to locals to gather any information that could help our investigation.”
