Massive Crack Cocaine Factory Busted in Newark

Neighbourhood officers have uncovered one of the biggest drug hauls they’ve ever seen during a targeted warrant in Lily Lane, Newark. The raid came after UK Border Force seized a shipment of the psychedelic class A drug, psilocin, sparking a full-scale investigation.

‘Aladdin’s Cave’ of Drugs Found

Police found a sprawling stash of illegal substances. From kilos of crack cocaine to edible cannabis sweets and magic mushrooms, the garage had been transformed into a sophisticated crack cocaine factory. Officers also seized several knives on site.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Rob Harrison described the scene as “an Aladdin’s cave” — with one haul leading to another. “The factory setup with glass beakers, chemicals and lab equipment made it clear this was serious production on a large scale,” he said. “It’s one of the biggest busts I’ve seen.”

Man Arrested Amid Ongoing Investigation

A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of class A drug production, importation, and possession with intent to supply. He has since been released under investigation as detectives from Nottinghamshire’s CID continue to probe.

The drugs still being tested are believed to include:

  • Several kilos of cannabis
  • Thousands of pills
  • Large quantities of cocaine and crack cocaine powder
  • Several kilos of magic mushrooms
  • THC sweets
  • Various amphetamines
  • Drug manufacturing equipment

Police Urge Public to Come Forward

Sergeant Harrison vowed to follow all leads: “This is likely just a snapshot of what’s been happening here. We’re committed to finding those responsible and putting a stop to it.”

Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for anyone with information on drug supply or production to call 101. Alternatively, tips can be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
