Hundreds have caught a glimpse of the buzzing ‘anti-violence bee’ as it tours schools, towns, and events across Derbyshire. From Ripley Christmas Market to Moorways Sports Complex, and colleges around Derby East, this striking symbol is spreading a powerful message: say no to violence.
Bee Spreading Peace Across Derbyshire
The iconic bee has made stops at supermarkets and shops in Swadlincote, Long Eaton, Ilkeston, and Derby city, standing tall as a monument against all forms of violence. Derbyshire Police are using the visit to show their commitment to tackling violence head-on, offering advice and answering questions wherever the bee lands.
Community Buzzing with Support
Visitors have been snapping pics and sharing their experiences on social media, while locals get crafty creating knitted and cardboard bees handed out by officers. One school raved, “Our children really enjoyed the visit and were very intrigued about how the bee was made. They had a lot of questions for the police officers that were all answered.”
