Late-Night Thief Busted in Ashford After Residents Spot Suspicious Activity

Kent Police sprang into action just before 2am on Thursday, 2 December, after locals in the Orchard Heights estate alerted them to shady behaviour around several parked cars.

Runner Caught Red-Handed Near Chart Road

Officers from the Local Policing Team soon stopped a man sprinting near Chart Road. A nearby bag revealed a stash of stolen items including phone chargers, cables, and dash cams.

39-Year-Old Arrested Over Vehicle Interference

The suspect, a 39-year-old Ashford local, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference and theft. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.

Police Appeal for CCTV and Dash Cam Footage

Inspector Simon Johnson urged residents: “If you have private CCTV or dash cam footage from Orchard Heights, please come forward. It could be crucial for our investigation.”
