Woman Dies in Horror Mini Crash on A716
Road policing officers are begging witnesses to step up after a fatal smash on the A716 near Ardwell. The tragic collision happened at around 8.30pm on Friday, October 20, involving a white Mini Cooper.
Emergency Crews Unable to Save Driver
Despite swift emergency response, the 35-year-old woman behind the wheel was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have been informed and are being supported through this heartbreaking time.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage
The road remains closed while investigators piece together what led to the crash. Sergeant David Kerr, leading the inquiry, said:
“We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of the woman who tragically lost her life. Our team is working tirelessly to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident.”
He added a plea for anyone who saw the crash or has dash-cam footage to come forward immediately.
“We are particularly interested in speaking to individuals who were traveling on the A716 just before the crash. Your footage or any information could prove vital.”
