Late-Night Disturbance Sparks Violence

At 1am this Friday, November 6, police swooped on a noisy group causing chaos in Hemlington’s Cass House Road area. Three suspects were hauled in: a 37-year-old for drunk and disorderly conduct, a 16-year-old lad for criminal damage, and a 33-year-old man facing charges of abusive threats and resisting arrest.

Officers Assaulted During Arrests

While tackling the scene, two officers were attacked – one kicked in the face, another in the leg. Both suffered minor injuries but are thankfully okay. All three suspects remain in custody as inquiries continue.
