Man Smashed Over Head with Bottle Outside Worthing M&S
Police have launched an urgent appeal for witnesses after a brutal assault on Montague Street, Worthing at 1.55pm on Saturday, October 22.
Attack Outside Marks & Spencer
A man was struck across the head with a glass bottle by another man right outside the Marks & Spencer store. The victim suffered injuries to his head and ear and was rushed to hospital by SECAmb colleagues.
Suspect Held, Known to Victim
It’s believed the two men know each other. When officers arrived, members of the public stepped in to restrain a man who could hold vital information about the assault.
A 35-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and remains in police custody.
