Police Hunt Two Teens After Brutal Handbag Robbery in Salisbury

Officers are urgently searching for witnesses following a violent robbery in Salisbury. The incident, involving a 12-year-old girl, took place shortly after 9pm on May 1 in Fish Row.

Victim Attacked and Robbed by Two Girls

The young victim was sitting quietly when two girls, aged between 12 and 14, approached her. They snatched her handbag and assaulted her multiple times before fleeing the scene.

A brave member of the public stepped in to challenge the attackers, potentially stopping the attack from worsening.

Police Describe Suspects and Key Witnesses

  • First suspect: White female, 12-14 years old, curvy build, long dark red hair worn down, dressed all in black with white trainers.
  • Second suspect: White female, same age range, slim build, long dark hair worn down. She wore a white top with a dark motif, brown trousers, a black jacket, and black, red, and white trainers.

Local Crime Investigator Suzanne Stone said:

“We believe several people were nearby who may have seen what happened. This includes three teenage girls passing through between 8.45pm and 9pm, a delivery man on a bicycle wearing a woolly hat who stopped near Reeves the Baker, and a man in his late 30s or 40s dressed in black trousers and a red and black jacket, carrying a large green backpack and camping mat. This man intervened and helped the victim, and we are keen to speak with him.”
