Kent Police scrambled armed units to Maidstone’s Week Street after reports of a man spotted with a gun. The call came in at 2.45pm on Sunday, April 23.
Two Teens Arrested in Dramatic Standoff
By around 3.30pm, officers ordered a man to stop and carried out searches. Two teenage girls were arrested and taken into custody amid the tense operation. Police also seized imitation firearms at the scene.

Kent Police responded swiftly to a report of a person possibly carrying a weapon near Week Street,” a spokesperson told UKNIP. “Armed officers attended, and two teenage girls were arrested. Imitation firearms were recovered,” they added.
The incident has now been contained, with one person detained and under arrest for offences related to the event.
