Four Men Arrested After Drone Firearm Scare on Hayling Island
Four men were hauled in by police after a tense incident at Hayling Island this evening. Officers rushed to the beachfront near Pebble Beach Cafe at 5.45pm on September 4 following reports of a drone flying dangerously close and a man allegedly aiming what looked like a gun at it.
Armed Police Seize Fake Firearms
Armed Response teams swooped on the scene and arrested all four men on suspicion of firearm offences. Two weapons, believed to be replicas or lookalikes, were seized by officers.
Suspects Held in Custody
All four suspects are currently being held in custody as investigations continue. Police have yet to reveal further details about the motive behind the bizarre drone confrontation.
