Police are hunting thieves after a brazen cash in transit robbery rocked Southampton just after midnight on Saturday, 11 May. At 12.50am, armed raiders targeted a security van delivering cash to Santander on Burgess Road.

Security Guard Attacked as Loot Stolen

The security guard was struck during the raid, suffering bruising to his wrist. The crooks made off with a distinctive cash box stuffed with a substantial amount of money.
