Arrest Made After Violent Assault Rocks Southend
Chaos erupted in Southend in the early hours of Sunday, 15th September, as police launched a swift response to a brutal assault on Southchurch Road. Essex Police swooped in just ten minutes after reports came through shortly after midnight, discovering a violent brawl involving several weapons.
Man Injured and Arrested
A 32-year-old Coventry man was hurt in the fracas and rushed to hospital. Thankfully, officers confirmed his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing. However, tensions remain high as police have arrested a suspect on suspicion of affray. The individual remains in custody as specialist Serious Crime Directorate officers lead the investigation.
