Arson Hunt Underway After Blaze Breaks Out in West Molesey Flat

Surrey Police are hunting witnesses after a fire ripped through a ground-floor flat on Down Street, West Molesey, in the early hours of Thursday, 12 April.

Fire Started Deliberately

Officers rushed to the scene at 00:46am following reports of the blaze. The building was swiftly evacuated and cordoned off. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Detectives say the fire looks to have been deliberately set and investigations are ongoing.

Police want anyone who was in the area around midnight on Wednesday, 11 April, or early Thursday morning to come forward. Drivers with dashcams or residents with CCTV might have captured vital clues.
