Body Found in River Avon Believed to be Missing Rugby Man Keith Appleton

Tragedy has struck as officers searching for missing Rugby man Keith Appleton have discovered a body in the River Avon today, Saturday 20 February.

The 61-year-old, reported missing on 18 January, has yet to be formally identified, but police believe the body is his.

Death Not Treated as Suspicious

The death is not being treated as suspicious. Police are preparing a file for the coroner as they continue their investigation.

“Our thoughts remain with Keith’s family at this difficult time, who are being supported by specially trained officers,” said Detective Inspector Jim Rankin from Rugby CID.
