Body Found on Lancing Beach Sparks Major Emergency Response
Emergency crews rushed to Lancing Beach after a shocking discovery just after 2:30 pm on Friday. A passerby out for a stroll along the seafront found a body and immediately called the authorities.

The response was swift and serious. HM Coastguard launched a helicopter while the Shoreham lifeboat team scoured the area by sea and land. Police and ambulance crews also arrived to assist at the scene.
Sussex Police Confirm Investigation Underway
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Lancing Beach around 2:35 pm on Friday, March 29, after a body was discovered by a member of the public. Officers are currently at the scene, and we are in the preliminary stages of our investigation. At this point, no additional information can be released.”
Coastguard Highlights Team Effort
HM Coastguard confirmed their alert was raised shortly after 2:50 pm in Shoreham, stressing the joint effort between police, ambulance, and rescue teams during the operation.
