Tragic Collision in Newmarket Green

A 14-year-old boy suffered potentially life-changing leg injuries after being struck by a car while riding an e-bike in Newmarket Green, SE9, on Monday morning.

Police were called at 11:14 AM on December 2 following reports of the crash. Emergency crews, including London Ambulance Service paramedics, rushed to the scene where the teenager was found badly hurt.

He was swiftly taken to hospital where medics are assessing the extent of his injuries.

Driver Flees the Scene

The car involved did not stop and the driver fled immediately after the collision. Police have launched a full investigation to track down the vehicle and its driver. No arrests have been made so far.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

The Metropolitan Police urgently want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or captured it on dashcam. Officers are especially keen to track down any footage that might help identify the culprit.
