From the Isle of Wight to Southampton, a number of people have gone missing over the years — some decades ago, others just last year. Their families and police remain desperate for answers.
The Longest Cases: Lost for Decades
- William Lavenu vanished from East Cowes on the Isle of Wight on December 2, 1986, aged 33. Now 69, he has not been seen since.
- Damien Nettles disappeared from Cowes, Isle of Wight on November 2, 1996, when he was just 16. He would be 42 this year after 26 years missing.
Recent Disappearances Still Haunting Families
- Leah Valdez went missing from Southampton on October 29, 2017, aged 34. She is now 39.
- Sangrok Song, 29 at the time, vanished from Southampton on April 17, 2020. He’d be 31 now.
- Igor Luke disappeared from Petersfield on February 10, 2020, aged 54. Now 56, he remains missing.
- Joanne Sheen, 44, last seen travelling from Fareham to Southampton on February 22, 2020, is now 46 and still nowhere to be found despite police appeals.
- 1 Knight, 30, vanished from Burghclere on February 17, 2021, triggering a nationwide hunt. He is now 32.
- Hurry Fesiyi disappeared from portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth on October 4, 2021, aged 20. He’s about to turn 21.
- Doran Malaj, 17, went missing from Portsmouth on September 12, 2019. He is now 20 and still missing.
Fresh Disappearance Sparks Concern
- Grant Maddocks, 52, has been missing since August 5 this year. He was last seen leaving Winchester Hospital and later spotted on Badger Farm Road the same day. No sign since.
