Folkestone and Hythe Residents Warned After Spate of Burglaries Steal Cash and Jewels

Alarm bells are ringing in Folkestone and Hythe after four break-ins – three burglaries and one attempted theft – hit the area in just two days. Crooks made off with cash and pricey jewellery, leaving locals feeling rattled.

Thieves Target Homes in Broad Daylight and Evening

Here’s what happened:

  • Thurs 7 Nov, 1:10pm, Whitby Road, Folkestone: Three men tried to break in while the occupants were home. The burglars smashed a window, but fled when one victim made a noise (Crime ref: 46/213990/19).
  • Thurs 7 Nov, 8am-1:15pm, Pilgrim Spring, Folkestone: Burglars took a stash of cash. Police are still checking if more was stolen (46/214135/19).
  • Fri 8 Nov, 12:30pm-3:50pm, Octavian Drive, Lympne: Jewellery including a diamond ring, gold watches, and an emerald ring were pinched (46/215020/19).
  • Fri 8 Nov, 7pm-7:45pm, Dymchurch Road, Hythe: Crooks made off with both cash and jewellery (46/215293/19).

Police Probe Possible Links Between Break-Ins

Kent Police are investigating these incidents and haven’t ruled out that the same gang could be behind them. They urge anyone who saw suspicious activity to come forward immediately.
