Tragic Loss: Teen Courtney Ellis Dies After St Helens Crash
A 14-year-old girl has been named as the victim of a fatal collision in St Helens on Saturday, 19 September. Courtney Ellis, from Haydock, lost her life in the horrific smash.
Heartbreaking Tribute from Mum Angela
Courtney’s mum, Angela, shared a touching tribute, revealing her daughter’s bright spirit and ambitions. “Courtney was a bubbly girl, full of life. She loved being around friends and family. So lovable and fiercely protective of those she cared about,” Angela said.
“She dreamt of becoming a midwife and was ready to knuckle down at school to get the grades she needed. She had so much potential.”
“We were alike – both emotional. She’d cry at sad soaps and animal films. If she knew she wouldn’t see us all again, it would break her heart.”
“No parent should have to bury their child. I gave birth to her not knowing she’d only have 14 years. I wish I could have done more so she could achieve more.”
“Her sister Morgan is struggling; they were best mates despite the odd argument. Courtney was always protective, especially of little Morgan.”
“Friends say she was funny, polite, and kind – I’m proud I raised such a beautiful human being.”
“Courtney adored her younger siblings Roman and Harper. Roman loved playing with her, and her silly laughter was contagious. We’ll keep her memory alive through photos and videos.”
“We – me, Phil (her stepdad), Morgan, Roman, Harper, Grandad Paul, and her aunts Sarah and Debbie – are devastated. We love you so much, Courtney.”
