Hastings Church Hit by Second Crucifix Theft

The St Mary Star of the Sea Church in Hastings has been targeted again. On April 12th, thieves snatched the Crucifix from the altar, sparking fresh outrage.

Déjà Vu: Crucifix Stolen Before

This isn’t the first time the church’s Crucifix has vanished. Back in February 2019, it was also stolen – only to be found later in a shop. Now, the church is left disappointed and worried about losing another piece of its historic heritage.

Church Appeals for Help

Authorities and church leaders urge anyone with information to step forward. You can contact the police or the church office directly.

Despite the theft, services continue as normal. The local community remains hopeful the Crucifix will be safely returned soon.
