Delivery Driver Attacked and Van Stolen in Lancaster
A delivery driver was violently attacked and had his van stolen in broad daylight on Thirlmere Road, Lancaster, today at around 1.30pm BST. Police have launched an urgent appeal for info to track down the thief and recover the stolen vehicle.
White Ford Transit Van Stolen with Parcels Inside
The stolen vehicle is a white Ford Transit van, registration HV71 VFL. It was loaded with multiple parcels meant for delivery when taken. Thankfully, the driver escaped without injury but was left shaken by the terrifying ordeal.
Suspect Description and Police Appeal
- Suspect: Stocky white male with a shiny face
- Clothing: Black or navy-blue puffer jacket
Detective Inspector Adie Knowles of 1 CID expressed grave concern about the attack and is urging the public to come forward. He said, “We are carrying out a number of enquiries and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened or who sees a van or the suspect matching this description to get in touch urgently.”
Officers are also requesting any CCTV, dashcam, mobile, or Ring doorbell footage from nearby areas that might help the investigation.
