Late-night assault in Old Trafford parking lot sparks police hunt
Woman attacked by trio in Maher Gardens car park
Just after midnight on Wednesday 19 April 2023, police were tipped off about an assault on a woman in a car park near Maher Gardens, straddling Old Trafford and Hulme.
Witnesses reported up to three men attacking the female victim. All parties then quickly fled the scene in a white SUV before emergency services arrived, heading towards Moss Lane West, Alexandra Road, and Princess Parkway.
Suspects and victim described in detail
- First suspect: Black male, around 6’2”, muscular, short black hair, wearing grey shorts and a grey t-shirt.
- Second suspect: Black male, approx. 5’6”, slim build, short hair, wearing a dark red/brown logo shirt and shorts.
- Third male: Believed to have stayed in the vehicle and drove the group away.
- Victim: Black female, around 5’8”, medium build, wearing a white cardigan.
The getaway vehicle is believed to be a white Mercedes GLA SUV. All involved are suspected to be adults.
Police call for witnesses and footage
Following extensive inquiries, police urgently want to track down the victim to confirm she’s safe. They also need information to identify the suspects and vehicle to get to the bottom of the incident.
