Bus Hits Man on Maidstone’s A229 Loose Road – Major Road Closed Hours
A key Maidstone route has been shut for most of Friday evening after a serious crash involving a bus and a pedestrian.
Serious Injuries Reported
The collision happened near the bus stop by Anglesey Avenue on the A229 Loose Road. Emergency crews treated the man at the scene before rushing him to hospital with life-changing injuries.
Road Shut for Forensic Probe
The road has stayed closed since just after 4.15pm to allow police and forensic teams to investigate the crash. The narrow stretch has left heavy goods vehicles stuck for more than five hours, with no room to turn around.
Kent Police to Launch Appeal
Kent Police are expected to release an appeal for information soon as they continue their inquiry into the crash.
