Man Dies After Early Morning Incident in Nottingham City Centre
Tragedy struck Nottingham city centre on Friday morning when officers were called to High Cross Leys, at the junction of Huntingdon Street and Woodborough Road, around 7.50am.
Paramedics treated Mr Anderson at the scene before rushing him to hospital. Despite desperate efforts, he was pronounced dead at 9.36am.
Two Men Held as Police Probe Murder
Nottinghamshire Police have arrested a 60-year-old man on suspicion of murder. Detectives have secured an extra 36 hours to question him. A 50-year-old man was also arrested on Saturday on suspicion of assisting an offender and remains in custody.
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old previously arrested on suspicion of murder has been released with no further action.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Inspector Clare Gibson, leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Anderson’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. Skilled detectives are working tirelessly to uncover the truth and deliver justice.”
She urged anyone with information—no matter how small—to contact police and encouraged submissions of CCTV, dashcam, mobile, or doorbell footage from the area.
“We want to reassure the public there is no wider risk at this time,” DI Gibson added.
