Car Blaze in Clark Street Sparks Arson Probe

Police rushed to Clark Street just before midnight on Thursday, 7 April 2022, after reports of a car ablaze.

Firefighters Quickly Douse Flames

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service arrived promptly and brought the fire under control. Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident.

Police Hunt for Two Men and Burgundy SUV

Detective Constable Lyndsay McKinnon said: “We are treating the fire as deliberate and urge anyone with information to come forward.”

“A burgundy/red SUV and two men were spotted nearby around the time of the blaze. We want to hear from anyone who knows anything about this vehicle or the suspects.”

“If you have dashcam or CCTV footage that could help our investigation, please get in touch.”
