Teen Stabbed to Death in Canal Tragedy Under Scrubs Lane
Police rushed to the canal beneath Scrubs Lane, W10, at 5.45pm on Sunday, 25 June after reports of a male found stabbed and submerged in the water.
Emergency crews, including officers and London Ambulance Service, pulled the victim from the canal. Despite their best efforts, the 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene at 6.09pm.
Victim Named as Ealing Teen Victor Lee
Detectives have identified the tragic victim as Victor Lee, a 17-year-old from Ealing. Formal ID is yet to be completed, but his family has been informed and is receiving specialist support.
A post-mortem on Wednesday, 28 June confirmed the cause of death as stab wounds.
Three Young Suspects Arrested Over Murder
On Friday, 30 June, police arrested three males aged 14, 15, and 17 on suspicion of murder. All remain in custody at South 1 police station as the investigation continues.
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, leading the probe, said: “We are supporting Victor’s family through this devastating time. Our thoughts remain with them.”
“We made three arrests on Friday, but we still need information from the public. Were you near the Grand Union Canal towpath or Scrubs Lane between 5.15pm and 6.15pm last Sunday? Did you see a fight or hear anything unusual?”

“Our officers will be in the Scrubs Lane area on Sunday, 2 July, appealing for more information.”
