Man Found Dead at Croydon Home Sparks Murder Probe
Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man was discovered dead at his Croydon residence. Police were alerted by the London Ambulance Service at around 8:50am on Monday, 13 January following reports of a man found deceased on Whitehorse Road.
Victim Named as Krasimir Kartikov
The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Krasimir Kartikov, originally from Bulgaria. A special post-mortem examination on Wednesday, 15 January confirmed the cause of death as multiple injuries.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Helen Rance, leading the inquiry, said: “Our investigation is moving quickly, but we urgently want to speak to anyone who saw or spoke to Krasimir after 4pm on Saturday, 11 January.”
She added: “We also ask anyone in the Whitehorse Road area that evening or overnight to report any disturbances or unusual activity.”
Family Devastated, Police Committed to Justice
Krasimir’s family have been informed and are understandably devastated. DCI Rance vowed: “We are committed to uncovering exactly what happened and bringing those responsible to justice.”
