Man Arrested Over Woodford Green Shooting as Victim Fights for Life
A man in his 50s was arrested on Saturday, 13 July, on suspicion of attempted murder and firearms offences. He remains in custody as police continue their investigation.
Gunshot Horror in Malvern Drive
Officers were called to Malvern Drive, Woodford Green, at 11.30pm on Thursday, 11 July after reports of a shooting. Armed police found a 41-year-old man with serious gunshot wounds.
The victim was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition.
Trident Detectives Hunt for Motive and Witnesses
Detectives from Trident and Area Command are treating the case with priority but have yet to establish a clear motive. No other arrests have been made.
Detective Chief Inspector Nicky Arrowsmith said: “This investigation remains ongoing and officers continue to follow a number of lines of enquiry. We are still appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has information to come forward and speak to police.”

The shooting occurred at a residential property on Malvern Drive. Police are asking anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
