Man Exposes Himself and Grops Teen in Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park
Shock in Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park on Friday afternoon as a man in his 30s exposed himself to a man in his 40s and then sexually assaulted a teenage boy, police reveal.
Two Attacks Just Half An Hour Apart
The first incident happened around 3.50pm when the man in his 40s was sitting on a bench. A stranger approached him, made lewd comments, and then exposed himself.
Less than 30 minutes later, at about 4.20pm, a teenage boy walking through the park was touched inappropriately by what is believed to be the same attacker, who then fled the scene.
Police Hunt Scarred Suspect
Officers describe the suspect as a black man in his 30s with a noticeable scar on the top of his nose. He was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a navy or grey puffer jacket.
Detective Constable Caitlin Fitzgerald said: “These experiences were clearly very distressing for the victims and we are continuing to support them as we work towards identifying the person responsible.”
She urged anyone who was in the park on Friday to come forward: “I ask for anyone who was in the park on Friday to think about whether they saw any suspicious behaviour and I would encourage any witnesses to contact us immediately.”
