Two men, aged 23 and 19, were arrested at Stansted Airport on Friday, January 19, as they touched down back in the UK. They are still being held in custody.
Tyreece Found Fatally Stabbed
The arrests come after 24-year-old Tyreece was discovered with a stab wound on Grove Road around 1:15pm on Tuesday, January 16. Despite emergency services’ desperate attempts to save him, Tyreece died at the scene.
A post-mortem on January 18 confirmed the cause as a stab wound to the chest.
Family Informed and Supported
Tyreece’s family have been informed and are receiving support from dedicated family liaison officers as investigators work tirelessly to find those responsible.
Police Issue Urgent Appeal
Detective Inspector Ollie Stride said: “This is a significant development, but our investigation continues. We urge any witnesses who have not come forward yet to get in touch.”
